Ken (James) Meier is a graphic designer and partner at Common Name. Prior to co-founding the studio, Ken worked with international design consultancy IDEO and New York’s Project Projects. His work has been published in Graphic, Creative Review, Computer Arts, and idN magazines, as well as in annuals from Print and the Type Directors Club. Currently, he teaches Core Lab: Typography at Parsons The New School for Design, and Graphic Presentation I at Columbia GSAPP. Ken received his BA in humanities from the University of Chicago and an MFA in graphic design from Yale University.
