Part-time Assistant Professor
Originally trained as an industrial designer, Andrea Ruggiero approaches design as a generalist, bridging various disciplines: In addition to product design, he has been actively involved in the design and development of visual identity systems, furniture, packaging, and environments. His multidisciplinary practice focuses on delivering comprehensive design solutions to start-up ventures and internationally established brands. His work appears regularly in leading design and lifestyle publications and has been selected for numerous awards, including the IDEA Award, the DandAD; Award, and multiple Good Design awards. Andrea studied at the Domus Academy in Milan and received his degree in Product Design from Parsons The New School for Design in New York, where he has since taught a wide range of undergraduate Product Design courses ranging from collaborative projects with brands such as IKEA, Urban Outfitters, and Fossil to the principal Product Design studio courses.
