  • Brendan is a graphic and interaction designer living and working in New York City. He is a partner, since 2011, in the design practice Zut Alors! Inc. where he oversees creative output for a wide variety of clients including Bloomberg View, Creative Time, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Condé Nast, Performa, Print Magazine, Socrates Sculpture Park, and Johnson & Johnson. In 2012 he was selected as one of Print Magazine’s New Visual Artists and has been included in Graphic Design: Now in Production at the Walker Art Center. He was previously design director at Creative Time, which commissions and presents ambitious public art projects with thousands of artists throughout NYC and globally, and which is guided by three core values: art matters, artists’ voices are important in shaping society, and public spaces are places for creative and free expression. Griffiths has also taught at Pratt Institute as visiting instructor since 2012, and was visiting critic at Yale University School of Art and Cranbrook Academy of Art. His creative practice and instructional interest lies in graphic design, interaction design, typography, programming, user interface design. Griffiths has an MFA in graphic design from Yale University School of Art and a BFA in multimedia design from the University of Oregon.
