  • Tania Ursomarzo's creative work and professional career has taken an unconventional path and crosses the fields of architectural, interior, fashion, product and graphic design, as well as visual art and performance. Formally trained as an architect, she has practiced architecture and interior design in Canada and the United States, working on local and international projects in both the private and public sectors. Alongside architectural pursuits, she maintains an active visual art and multidisciplinary design practice. Tania is the owner and creative director of an independent art and design studio, ETCETERAcreative, focused on design and fabrication research and experimentation. Under the umbrella of this studio, she launched the accessories brand, TRIPTYCH: a line of objects by and for the body at the intersection of innovative design and masterful artisanship. Diverse as they are, these threads of practice all interweave in her life, placing her work and thinking somewhere between art, design, fashion and architecture. Her work has been exhibited, screened, performed, published, built and received awards in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Currently, Tania teaches in the School of Constructed Environments, School of Design Strategies, School of Fashion, and SPACE at Parsons School of Design while balancing personal and professional projects close to her heart.
