Sable Elyse Smith is an artist and writer of Haitian descent. She is a member of the collective Fantastic Futures and has performed at the New Museum and Eyebeam. She has lectured at The International Center for Photography and recently facilitated a workshop at the YBCA, as a member of Fantastic Futures. Her work has been published in Radical Teacher and Smith was recently one of The Sculpture Center's featured artist. Her art practice is concerned with memory, trauma, and identity and incorporates video, text, installation, and performance.
