Part-time Assistant Professor
Molly Herman was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Painting and Printmaking (1992) from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Molly studied art and archeology in France and Spain. She returned to continue her studies in New York and received her Masters in Fine Art from the School of Visual Art in Manhattan (1996). Additionally, Molly has been employed as an artist assistant to Pat Steir and printmaker for Harlan and Weaver Intaglio. Molly has taught in Parsons The New School for Design for the Continuing Education programs since 2004. She currently lives and keeps a studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her husband, the sculptor, Bruce Brosnan. Molly Herman is represented by John Davis Gallery. EXHIBITION NEWS: Molly's recent paintings will be on view in a group show titled, "The Source" held at City College of New York from April 22 through May 27, 2010.
