Maxim Zhukov specializes in multilingual typography and cross-cultural design. From 1977 to 2003 he worked for the United Nations. Researches in, and writes on, typography and type design. He consults for individual designers and foundries. His clients include Adobe, Bitstream, Carter and Cone, International Typeface Corporation, Linotype, Microsoft, Monotype, ParaType. He taught typographic design at Moscow Printing Institute (1984_5), at Cooper Union (2004_6), and at the British Higher School of Art and Design (2005_). Maxim Zhukov writes and lectures on typography and type design. He is a member of a number of Russian and American professional societies and associations, and the Vice-President of the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI).
