Dr. Joseph Press is a Human Capital and Technology consultant at Deloitte Consulting AG Switzerland. He has over 15 years of experience consulting global companies in human capital strategies, HR delivery models, HR technology solutions and business transformation. He also has expertise in designing and implementing global social computing and digital workplace initiatives, including the business strategy, social media functionality, community building, user experience, risk management and adoption.Joseph completed a B.S. in Managerial Economics at Carnegie Mellon. He completed a SMArchS and Ph.D. in Building Community at MIT. His master’s thesis explored education and learning in the design studio, and Ph.D. research focused on collaboration, cognition and innovation as catalysts to stimulate personal and organizational transformation. He is a part-time faculty member at Parsons The New School For Design in the Strategic Design & Management Masters Program, where he teaches graduate courses on design, digital business models and innovation. Joseph has market eminence as a thought leader in social computing and has been quoted in several external publications, most recently in HR Executive on Talent Tools and HR Magazine on Developing a Social Business Network. He previously held teaching and research positions at MIT, Delft Technical University, and Bezalel Design Academy.
