    RAGNAR FREIDANK teaches at Drama/ Parsons. He works with theater, video and creative group processes. Originally from Germany, his background is as a performer with a particular interest in creating work based on lives of the past.

    As a filmmaker he directed the award winning film "Beautiful Hills of Brooklyn", starring Joanna Merlin, executive producer Bob Balaban. Recent film projects include the video mash-up "Puppet Cinema" at the Walker Arts Center (Minneapolis) as part of the show "The Devil and Mr. Punch" (directed by Julian Crouch), "The D&D Roadshow" (Improbable, UK with Phelim McDermott) and  "Eugene's Ghosts" (based on Eugene O'Neill's play "Long Day's Journey Into Night", produced by The Actors' Ensemble, NY). He is continually working on short-form film projects. Most recently he created the videos for  "Armchair Parade", an installation by Julian Crouch, Mark Stewart and Ragnar Freidank, which was originated at BRIC in 2013 and went on to be exhibited at Black Ship/ Dillon Gallery in Manhattan in 2014.
