  • Michelle Alleyne; fashion authority, industry entrepreneur, and visionary; earned a B.S. at Howard University in Fashion Merchandising/Business Management, studied Apparel Production Management at FIT, and is currently earning a Master's in History of Decorative Arts and Design. She's been Assistant Professor in Parsons' Fashion Marketing since 2005, former Line Debut coordinator, created MidSeason Preview, and is currently the Styling Club Faculty Advisor, and Events Editor of 560.In addition, she owns the Full Service Fashion Firm at www.MShopNYC.com, has worked over 20 years in the NYC Garment Center managing production (off-shore and domestic), and as product developer for major fashion companies Ann Taylor, Express, Limited, Liz Claiborne, Macy's, Abercrombie and Fitch, Talbots Collection, Walmart, and Halston to name a few, she owned the trendsetting Downtown NYC boutique, M Shop, for 5 _ years, is a trend forecaster, has styled music videos, print, and TV commercials. She's designed her own M Shop label since 2000, and a series of organic t-shirts for charity. Her 13 year old company, M Shop NYC, provides Consulting on Fashion Business Start-ups, Marketing, and Manufacturing, produces Fashion Shows and Events for designers and corporations, and for the last 8 years, has been conducting renowned Fashion and PR Workshops nationwide assisting thousands of entrepreneurs in starting their own fashion companies. It retails innovative men's and women's clothing and accessories, and exhibits Art. She's Contributing Editor at Fashion Mannuscript for the column she created, "Fashion Speaks", and author of "How To Manufacture/Produce Your Designs".
