  • Steve Sanderson is a founding partner of CASE, a building information modeling and project integration consultancy based in NYC. At CASE, Steve is primarily responsible for leading building performance analysis, early design analysis, scripting and automation, parametric modeling, data transfer, interoperability, and team organization. He has extensive experience developing strategic technological solutions for leading members of the AECO industry. Prior to CASE, Steve was the Director of Design Technology at SHoP Architects. Steve received his Master of Engineering from the Product-Architecture Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech. He has given numerous workshops on BIM, parametric modeling and computational design and speaks internationally on technology and innovation at venues such as SIGGRAPH, SmartGeometry, Autodesk University, AIANY Tech, and LA Design Technology Forum. As an invited critic and lecturer, he has taught design technology in studios and seminars at Columbia University's GSAPP and Yale University's School of Architecture. He currently teaches Environmental Technology and Advanced Digital II: Introduction to Computational Design at Parsons the New School for Design.
