JESSICA BIRNBAUM is an architectural designer, digital modeling specialist, and LEED Accredited Professional currently practicing in NY. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois, attended L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure D'Architecture in France for one year, and completed her Master of Architecture degree at Parsons, where she was awarded the Eileen Gray Thesis Prize. Jessica spent 5 years in London working as a project designer for Norman Foster, utilizing the firm's cutting edge resources ranging from top virtual modeling, animation, and analytical computer software to 3D printing and rapid prototyping. She is inspired by technology's influence on the consciousness of smart design, which led her to found research collaborative, Emergent Form. In addition to architectural work, she consults on a spectrum of inventions for production company Avant Muse and Brooklyn based band Big Volcano. Jessica continues to share her passion for the creative process as an instructor in the School of Constructed Environments.
