David Leven is a founding partner of Leven Betts Studio.The work of Leven Betts has been recognized internationally through awards, exhibitions and publications. Recent awards are Architectural Record's Design Vanguard (2007), Architype Review Award (2007), IES Lumen Award (2006), AIA NYC Awards (2008, 2005, 2004, 2003), I.D. Annual Design Review Award (2004) and the Architectural League of NY's Young Architects Forum (2003). Leven Betts has lectured and exhibited their work at the Architectural League of New York, Deutsches Architekturmuseum, Frankfurt, Germany, Syracuse University, the Center for Architecture in NY, Parsons the New School for Design, University of Kansas and the Chicago Institute of Art. Recent publications includeArchitectural Record (December 2007), Young Americans (DOM Publishing,2007), Ultimate New York Design (Loft Publications, 2006), New Minimalist House (Loft Publications, 2006), and Dwell Magazine (2006) among others. The work of Leven Betts has been featured in many publications including Dwell, Metropolis, Frame, I.D., and Surface, and has received numerous awards including multiple AIA-NYC Design Awards, an I.D. Annual Design Award, a 2003 Young Architects Award, and a 2006 IES Lumen Award. David holds a Bachelor of Art from Colgate University and a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University, and heattended the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies. He is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey.
