  • As director of external projects, Sara Kozlowski manages a robust roster of partnerships across the School of Fashion. External partnerships represent a critical component of Parsons strategic vision, delivering an unparalleled caliber of experiences, enabling student access to competencies, facilities and relationships otherwise unfounded in a traditional classroom setting combined with scholarship and vocational opportunities. Various project models are implemented with support of partners such as PPR, LV, LVMH, Coach, Allen Edmonds, Banana Republic, and Gap.As faculty, Sara is a design educator with foci rooted in innovative systems, concepts and sustainability with a vision committed towards nurturing tomorrow's fashion thought leaders many of which are global citizens, digital natives and social media entrepreneurs by honing personal identity through explorations of material and digital craft. Preceding Parsons, Sara served as Assistant Director of Fashion and Online Coordinator of Fashion for BFA/MFA programs at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco with a teaching focus of collection concepts. Her interest in curriculum has afforded opportunities to contribute to the design of holistic curricula often with collaborative contexts.Saras industry experience began with recruitment by Anna Sui and six years building the independently-owned, New-York based Sara Kozlowski: cake, which through the mentorship of Steven Alan retailed at more than 40 global outlets, was presented for seven seasons during NY fashion week, and featured in numerous editorials that included WWD, Vogue, the New York Times, Paper, and Gap Japan.Sara received her MBA in Design Strategy from CCA (Cohort 1) and her BFA from Parsons The New School for Design.
