    Meret Lenzlinger

    Profile

    Meret Lenzlinger has been a part time faculty member since 2001.  She has developed and taught studio courses about representation, narrative and making a visual argument; food sustainability and systems mapping; and sustainable communities and design.  Many of her courses are collaborative, interdisciplinary, cross-divisional and team-taught. She also teaches at Pratt Institute in the Industrial Design department.

    She is a founding partner at LOCALbrooklyn, an architecture, research and design practice that provides a variety of services, ranging from architectural and furniture design to program development and sustainability workshops.  Originally from Switzerland, she holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has worked for offices in Boston, San Francisco and New York, as well as for Herzog & De Meuron in Basel, Switzerland. She has also worked for a boat builder, cabinetmaker and contractor.
