Jessica Walker is Assistant Professor of Integrated Design at Parsons School of Design and is an artist, illustrator and educator. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation and The New York Community Trust, and focuses on pathway development and increased access to STEAM learning through partnerships between community organizations and institutions of higher education. She is the illustrator of books for children including "Baby Feminists" and "Baby Feminists Too" (Viking Books for Young Readers). Walker directs the undergraduate program in Integrated Design at Parsons where she teaches within the first year experience, the Strategic Design and Management Program (BBA) and Mentoring Through Making which is a studio/seminar course that focuses on youth mentoring and personal reflection through volunteer opportunities. Jessica received her BA from the University of Virginia and her MFA from San Francisco State University.
