Associate Professor of Studio Methods, School of Design Strategies
Aaron is a painter by training and has had one-person and group exhibitions in New Zealand, Australia and the United States. Aaron's work is represented in collections in these countries. Aaron has fifteen years of full time college teaching experience in New Zealand and the US, most recently as Associate Professor at Massachusetts College of Art, Boston and at Parsons. Aaron has taught design theory and computer graphics at Waikato Institute of Technology and at Massey University, New Zealand, foundation education and animation at Mass Art, and in the Foundation, IDP and Design and Management programs at Parsons. In addition to his studio-based work, Aaron is a founding member (with Professor Overby) of the 'Finance Visualization Lab' in the School of Design Strategies at Parsons. Th lab is currently undertaking the publication of the proceedings from the symposium 'Visualizing Finance 1.0, Developing a Common Language' held in the Aronson Gallery at Parsons on October 22, 2010. Between January 2 and June 25, 2011, Aaron completed the fieldwork component of a project examining issues in public education in the East Zone of, So Paulo, Brazil.
