Part-time Associate Teaching Professor
Over the past 10 years I have been working as a multidisciplinary artist using video, sound and performance. My work utilizes performative strategies in order to articulate the internal body and to investigate the connection between the individual and his or her environment and self.
I work with ideas that are difficult to articulate in words or images. For this reason, I know that the gap between concepts and materializing those concepts can be a formidable challenge. I see the classroom as a laboratory where students can experiment and find their own solutions to bridging this gap. Though learning technical skills, looking at artists’ work, discussion and critiques, I aim to give students the time, space and information they need to discover their own style and voice as videomakers.
