  • Marlisa Wise is an architect and writer whose work focuses on exploring and expanding the social role of design.¬†She has worked as a project architect in residential and commercial design firms in NYC and is currently leading the design of a community center in Brooklyn and a senior center in Manhattan. As co-founder of the collaborative studio Interval-Projects, she has worked as a designer and scholar in post-disaster and post-conflict regions. She is currently working on a multi-year research project on the architectural products of humanitarian interventions. Funding for the project has been given by the Architectural League, Columbia University, and Deutsche Bank. Her work has been published by The New York Times, Domus, Volume, and San Rocco among others.¬†Marlisa is a graduate of Columbia University (MArch) and Brown University (BA).
