    Nicholas Brinen
    Principal & Founder
    AIA - LEED AP BD+C - NCARB Certified Architect

    Nicholas is a Registered Architect in New York State and a LEED Accredited Professional with 16 years of experience.  He founded LIGHTSHED Architecture to provide intelligent design strategies for projects that possess unique constraints of space, time, and resources. Prior to founding LIGHTSHED, he worked on multi-scale projects with Sasaki Associates in Boston and Smith-Miller + Hawkinson Architects in New York City.  Along with practicing, he is engaged with academia and has taught at The Rhode Island School of Design, The University of Texas at Austin, and currently teaches at Parsons and The Pratt Institute.
