    Andrew is an artist, educator and an award-winning designer, and the principle of acrStudio, the arts and crafts research studio. His creative practice as a sculptor and ceramist, complemented by his research exploring craft thinking and material cultures, has informed his work in fine art, product design, digital and interaction design and branding. His work has been exhibited widely including with Paul Sharpe Projects, Anna Kustera Gallery and Eyelevel BQE. He was a founding board member of the Foucault Society. Robinson has been creative director and designer for over seventeen years, and his design work has received awards including a Silver Cyber Lion at Cannes; Forbes Best of the Web; Gomez Best Financial Website; Favourite Website of the Day (FWA) Award; and a Gold Portfolio Award from the Financial Communications Society. Robinson has been a visiting artist and educator with the Crafts Council of the United Kingdom, a guest speaker at the American Center for Design in Chicago and he was awarded a fellowship from the Edward F. Albee foundation. Robinson has an MFA in sculpture from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA in ceramics from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He also studied ceramic sculpture at the Glasgow School of Art. In his formative years, he was apprenticed to a potter where he found an early foundation in working with his hands and a lifelong dedication to the appreciation and application of craftsmanship in all things.
