  • Jason is the principal of Studio T+L, a design firm specializing in lighting design and theatre planning. He has over 20 years of experience as a theatrical and architectural lighting designer and theatre consultant. His architectural lighting design work ranges from high-end retail, university libraries, and performing arts centers to private residences and commercial offices. He was awarded a 2003 Lumen Award by the New York Section of the IES, and a 2003 International Illumination Design Award by the IESNA for his work on Rewarding Lives for American Express in New York City. His work has been profiled in Lighting Design + Application and Lighting; Sound America.Since 1993 Jason has been teaching theatrical and architectural lighting design in New York City. He currently teaches architectural lighting design at Parsons The New School for Design and Pratt Institute. He has also taught stage lighting at New York University and architectural lighting at Fashion Institute of Technology.Jason is a member of the IES Color Committee, which is currently rewriting the Color and Illumination Design Guide. Jason holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from University of Miami and an MFA in Lighting Design from New York University. He is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, Illuminating Engineering Society, and International Association of Lighting Designers.
