Although structured within different theoretical frameworks, research and design processes can be difficult to distinguish in practice. This is true particularly in the context of strategic initiatives, in which efforts to model the future are premised explicitly upon comparison of different perspectives on present conditions. Much of the work produced by students in the Design and Management program concerns strategy, and many students have found interesting ways to integrate research and design methodology in producing their work. In this panel discussion, students explore the innovative approaches they have used to integrate research and design processes in their work.
