  • Specialist in American and European nineteenth- and twentieth-century visual culture. American Historical Print Collectors Fellow at the American Antiquarian Society and recipient of the Shelia W. and Richard J. Schwartz Fellowship at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Publications include contributions to Philadelphia's Cultural Landscape: The Sartain Family Legacy (2000), Distinction and Identity: Bourgeois Culture in Nineteenth-Century America (2010), and Inventing the Modern World: Decorative Arts at World's Fairs, 1851-1939 (2012).
