Artemy Magun will speak on:

“The Birth of Terror out of the Spirit of Sentimentalism.  The Subject of Enlightenment and the Terrorist Sensorium” 
Artemy  Magun is Professor of Political Theory of Democracy at the European University at St. Petersburg.  He received his PhDs in political sciences from Michigan University (2003) and in philosophy from Strasbourg University (2004). His main research interests are: Political philosophy, Philosophy of history, Aesthetics, Theory and history of revolution, Contemporary Russian politics. He is the author of "Politics of the One" (Bloomsbury Academic, 2012) and "The Negative Revolution" (forthcoming).
