In celebration of Willi Semmler's appointment as the Henry H. Arnhold Professor of International Cooperation and Development in the Department of Economic at The New School for Social Research, Professor Semmler will deliver a lecture entitled “The Macroeconomics of the Fiscal Consolidation in the European Union."

The Arnhold Professorship embodies the special relationship between The New School for Social Research and Henry Arnhold, who has been a member of the NSSR Board of Governors since 1984 and a Trustee of The New School since 1985. It also embodies Mr. Arnhold’s deep commitment to international cooperation.
