If you've been wanting to begin or finish your bachelor's degree, now's the time to start. The New School makes it easy with their Bachelor's Degree Program designed specifically for working adults and other nontraditional learners. Our faculty advisors will help you select a program of study based on your professional goals and the issues that matter to you. We'll accept up to 84 transfer credits, accommodate your busy schedule, and provide the academic and career advising you need to stay on track.

Bachelor's Programs: Demystifying the Application Essays

These special workshops are designed to assist applicants for the Bachelor's Program with their three admission essays. Facilitators will provide information on the purpose of each essay and offer tips on how to write them.

Feedback for Applicants
Staff will provide feedback on drafts of essays. Feedback can be given to applicants who provide draft copy ahead of time through the application process and who pre-register for the workshop. After receiving feedback on drafts and incorporating tips from the workshop, applicants will be allowed to submit revised essays until August 1, 2008.

Feedback for Pre-Applicants
Those who have not applied may bring drafts of essays with them to the workshop and can receive feedback on their drafts at the conclusion of the workshop, or as they complete the three drafts at some point after the seminar, provided they apply for admission before August 1, 2008.
