  • Welcome to AAS Fashion Marketing Online

The School of Fashion welcomes all students studying fashion marketing online. The start of the program is an exciting time in your education, and we look forward to supporting your educational goals. We encourage all students — whether studying fashion marketing on-site or online — to be part of the Parsons community and connect with faculty and students. We wish you luck and hope your experience studying online exceeds your dreams.

While you should carefully review all information provided by the school, we would like to call your attention to some points of particular interest to our online fashion marketing students.

    Your Course of Study

You will soon hear from the School of Fashion's advising office. Your advisor, Tyson Robertson, will have your academic records and will help you plan your AAS course of study from your first semester until you graduate. You can reach your advising office by visiting the Parsons Advisors webpage. Registered students can log in to the Starfish network to make direct appointments with their advisor.

    We Are Here

Our doors are always open — and that is true online as well as on campus. If you have questions about the program or concerns about your course of study, feel free to email Mung Lar Lam , director of AAS Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design ; Andrew Robinson, associate director of AAS Fashion Marketing; James Mendolia, online coordinator; or the advising office to schedule time to speak to us in person or via Skype. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Computer Equipment and Software

It is important that you have appropriate computer hardware and software as well as regular access to a reliable broadband (high speed) Internet connection and Gmail for studying online. Some classes may require particular software; if so, it will be noted in the course syllabus.

    Canvas Orientation for Online Classes

Your online classes will appear in Canvas, the university’s learning management system, on the first day of the semester. The first few days are reserved for orientation to Canvas and online learning. You will use your New School email and password to log in to Canvas. Refer to Online-Only Students: Things You Need to Know for pertinent information.

Requests for user support and general inquiries about Canvas should be directed to Distributed Education. Call our New York City office at 212.229.8947 x4463 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST or, for a faster response, send an email to canvas@newschool.edu.

    MyNewSchool

My.newschool.edu is your online home. From there you can link to your New School email and your online classes. You log in to MyNewSchool to check for class availability, register for classes, link to the library, check your grades, and more. Check your New School email regularly, as official communications are sent only to your New School email address.

We are delighted that you have chosen to study in  AAShion Marketing program at Parsons.

Don't forget, you will receive important information from the advising office before classes begin. In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, please let us know.
