Introduction by David Scobey, Executive Dean, The New School for Public Engagement. Public Lectures by Erika Paredes Sánchez on The Union of South American Nations: at the onset of a socio-regional integration and Mauricio Santoro Rocha on Democracy and Foreign Policy in Brazil. Ms. Paredes from Ecuador, and Mr. Santoro from Brazil, are the second and third Fellowship winners for the President Nestor Kirchner Fellowship 2011-2012. The Fellowship is aimed at the training of young leaders in South America working in both public service and in the academic field. The lectures are presented in English.
