Post-Master’s Professional Certificate: Organizational Development
Our certificate is designed for the professional already working in or wanting to enter the field of organizational change management as either an internal or external consultant. After taking six fully integrated courses (five required and one elective), students will have the foundation to learn and apply the most critical skills and competencies necessary for this growing professional arena.
The program addresses organizational development and effectiveness on three levels: individual, group, and the broader organizational system. A hallmark of the certificate program is how to apply this knowledge when working within and across the for-profit, nonprofit, and public sectors.
A graduate degree is required for admission to the program. Candidates have come from a diverse array of fields, such as law (JD), business (MBA), education (MEd), psychology (MS and PhD), and social work (MSW). For more information about Certificate Program Admission, contact the Admission Office. Students enrolled in relevant master’s degree programs at The New School may concurrently pursue a certificate. However, the certificate in Organizational Development is not available to students pursuing a master's in Organizational Change Management.
The field of Organization Development has been developing over the past four decades and is now an established profession. Milano has been a significant contributor to this profession, educating its practitioners for over thirty years.

To earn the Organizational Development Certificate, candidates must complete a 6 course integrated curriculum.
