Information Sessions
Members of the faculty and admission counselors are present to discuss degree programs, describe professional opportunities in their fields, and answer questions about the upcoming academic year. Information sessions are scheduled regularly during the year at convenient times for working people.
(PLEASE NOTE: The PhD program in Public and Urban Policy is not represented at master's program information sessions. For more information about the PhD program, email milanophd@newschool.edu .)
Graduate Admission Seminar

Online webinars cover the same material as the on-campus events, allowing prospective students the flexibility to learn about The New School for Public Engagement graduate programs without coming to campus. Admission-focused and program-focused sessions are offered, so be sure to check the event description once you click on an RSVP link below.
Individual Appointments
Milano invites prospective student for a one-on-one meeting with a counselor at the Office of Admission. These individual counseling appointments are an opportunity for you to discuss how a Milano program could fit your future educational and career goals.
Thirty-minute appointments are available every Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday, 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment, contact us at 212.229.5150 or milanoadmissions@newschool.edu.
Student Guided Tour of Milano
Come and join us for a student-led tour of the facilities of Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy and The New School. A tour is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the university and meet some current graduate students, faculty members, and staff.
Tours are available daily during the school year, Monday through Friday, leaving at 12:00 noon from the Office of Admission, 72 Fifth Avenue, 3rd floor.
Extended Day Visit
An extended day visit is a wonderful opportunity to sit in on a Milano class, meet the faculty, take a student-guided tour, and/or arrange a counseling opportunity. You can choose any combination that suits your needs.
If you would like an extended day visit, providing at least two weeks' advance notice will ensure that your experience will be rewarding. Please send email to milanoadmissions@newschool.edu with your name, program interest, academic term you would like to enter, and your preferred date(s) for your visit. Be sure to include your name, a daytime telephone, an active email address, and your program of interest. We will confirm a date for your extended visit (with details) by email .
