Milano Graduate School is committed to helping students meet their educational expenses through various types of financial assistance. Financial assistance is available to Milano matriculated students in the form of merit based scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, federal loans, and federal Work-Study.
Some of these sources of aid are limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Financial aid generally is available only to students taking at least six credits per semester and is intended to support study during the academic year (Fall and Spring semesters). Students who receive financial aid and want to enroll in summer semester courses should contact the Student Financial Services Office. Graduate applicants should note that non-tuition aid is not a taxable income for students.
While The New School makes every effort to keep annual tuition increases to a minimum, students should anticipate tuition increases from year to year. At the same time, the university is committed to increasing its support for financial aid. In recent years financial aid often has been increased at the same rate as tuition, and in some years by a higher rate. However, this
does not mean that the full tuition increase has been or will be matched dollar for dollar by the increase in financial aid.
International Students are not eligible for Federal Aid, unless they are permanent residents, but they may be eligible for institutional funding from The New School.
