Ruff Cuts - Student Screening Series

Ruff Cuts 2012-2013 Banner

RUFF CUTS is an opportunity for New School students to publicly exhibit and discuss their video/film, audio, and other media works-in-progress. RUFF CUTS is produced by graduate students in the School of Media Studies. It is open to both graduate and undergraduate degree and certificate students who wish to receive constructive faculty and peer feedback. All students and members of the public who would like to see what kinds of work are being done at The New School are invited to attend and participate in the discussions—and needed.

Six to nine works are presented at each RUFF CUTS event, time permitting. Media Studies faculty members attend each session and contribute to the dialogue/critique with the artists and the public.

To exhibit your work-in-progress at RUFF CUTS, send an email to ruffcutsrsvp@gmail.com stating your name, your preferred date, and the title, format/genre, and TRT (total running time) of your work. The producers will contact you to confirm a date and direct you to the show's online Vimeo channel to upload your work.

Each presenter receives an extremely cool RUFF CUTS T-shirt. Refreshments are served.
