Teaching concentration students can begin by taking 12 credits in an eight week on-campus program in New York City. With this option, students can expedite their studies, enjoy the vibrance of NYC and experience a traditional, face-to-face classroom. For non-native speakers of English, this is an opportunity to be completely immersed in English for eight weeks.

  • Methods and Materials for Teaching ESOL: Skills
  • Language Analysis for Teachers (Phonology, Lexis and Syntax)
  • Practicum

Affordable housing will be available in university residence halls.  Students must apply separately for university housing.  Email summerhousing@newschool.edu and identify yourself as a New School MATESOL summer intensive student.
