Admission to the MA TESOL program is based on a number of factors. Applications are reviewed by an admission committee consisting of admission counselors, the director of the MA program, and members of the faculty. Your statement of purpose, academic transcripts, résumé/work history, letters of recommendation, and required personal interview are all carefully evaluated.
Online Application
You are are encouraged to submit your application well in advance of the published deadline. Timely receipt of all materials by the Office of Admission is your responsibility. Using our online application is the best way to ensure this.
The online application allows you to gather items to fulfill the application requirements, save and retrieve them, and submit the final application at your convenience. Here is a brief overview of the process:
- Read the Application Instructions.
- Log on to create an application account.
- Review and fill-in the online application form.
- Add/Upload the required writing samples and your résumé to the Web application. Please upload documents in PDF or Word format.
- Make sure to proofread your application and print a copy for your own records.
- Complete the online application process by signing electronically, paying the $50 application fee, and submitting the application.
Paper Application
All applicants are expected to submit our online application. In extenuating circumstances, paper applications are available upon request.
