Thank you for your interest in the Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL) at The New School. The Office of Admission is here to help you determine if The New School has the right program for you and to help you with your application. We welcome applications from people with diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences who aspire to be English teachers.

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required for admission. Prior ESOL teaching experience is not a prerequisite for the Teaching concentration, although it is welcome. Prerequisites for the Curriculum Development concentration are outlined on the apply page.
