Thank you for your interest in The New School's master of arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL). The Office of Admission is here to help you determine if The New School has the right program for you and, if so, to help you with your application. We welcome applications from aspiring teachers of English of diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required for admission. Prior ESOL teaching experience is not a prerequisite for the Teaching concentration, although it is welcome. Requirements for the Curriculum Development concentration are explained on the apply page.
