Prepatory Division Withdrawal and Make-Up Policy

Withdrawal

Students wishing to withdraw from the program must give written notice to the director. Verbal notification of intent to withdraw must be followed by written confirmation, in order to effect release of further financial obligations. Absences by the student do not constitute withdrawal.

If notification is received before the student's first week of class attendance, the student will not be responsible for the semester's tuition.

After beginning of classes/lessons, and upon receipt of written notice by the director, tuition refunds will be made according to the following schedule:

Notification received after the first week of class: 90 percent of semester's tuition refunded

Notification received after the second week of class: 80 percent of semester's tuition refunded

Notification received after the third week of class: 70 percent of semester's tuition refunded

Notification received after the fourth week of class: 60 percent of semester's tuition refunded

Notification received after the fifth week of class: No refund

Make-Up Lessons

If a teacher is absent from a private lesson or class, the lesson or class will be made up. Teachers are not required to make up lessons or classes missed by students. While no refunds may be claimed for absences, one private lesson may be made up during each semester at the discretion of the instructor, provided that notice of the absence has been given by the day before the scheduled lesson. Should the student cancel a make-up lesson appointment, the lesson will be considered made up.
