Tuition

Performers (all levels accepted)

  • $475: Full participant early registration (before March 30)
  • $575: Full participant (after March 30)
  • $1,115 per credit: Full participant for university credit (1.0 undergraduate credit)
  • $395: Ensemble full participant (charge per member for pre-formed ensemble attending together; master class instruction is for the ensemble).

Performers Registration Deadline: June 15

 

Auditors

  • $260 entire seminar
  • $65 per day
  • $15 per event
  • $25 concert ticket

Registration options

Online: Full participants and auditors can register online at http://ceregistration.newschool.edu/register/
Once you are on the registration page:
1. Select "Mannes College The New School for Music Extension Programs" and select from the semester list "Summer 2012." Then go to "view courses."
2. At the courses page under Mannes College The New School for Music Extension Programs, select "Special Courses and Career Development."
3. You will see now the list of registration categories for the Guitar Seminar. Identify your category for registration by selecting the course number.
4. Email us with the Supplemental Information along with your master class preference list at the bottom of this page.

To Register by Mail:
Download the 

PDF Registration Form, print it, fill it out, and mail it to us with payment to: New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes, 150 West 85th Street, New York, NY 10024

Checks and money orders must be in US$ and made payable to THE NEW SCHOOL. Payment may be made by Visa, Master Card, or AmericanExpress Credit Cards. The charge on your credit card will read “The New School.”

To Register by Email:

Supplemental Information

3. Narrative: In brief, please tell us about your musical activity. (How much playing do you do? What is your level of advancement? What are your interests and goals? Are you student, amateur, professional?)
4. Please discuss briefly your experiences in master classes and ensembles.
5. About Master Classes: All full-time participants will receive two (2) master class lessons. If you wish, select six faculty teachers from whom your assigned teachers may be chosen. Every attempt will be made to assign you to at least one of the teachers you request. Master class lesson schedule will be posted upon arrival at the seminar, so be prepared in case your first master class will be on the first day.

All full participants (limited to 50 guitarists from around the world) are automatically entered in a free drawing to receive a new guitar (value approximately $2,000) generously donated by Guitar Salon International.
