Roger Malouf
B.A., UCLA; M.M. in Accompanying and Coaching, USC; Additional studies at University of Vienna. Piano studies with Aube Tzerko, Gwendolyn Koldofsky, Brooks Smith, and David Garvey. Conducting studies with Kenneth Kiesler, Michel Singher, and Gary Fagin.
Opera Workshop

Assistant conductor with Metropolitan Opera since 2001. Has worked at New York City Opera, the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Festival, Wiener Kammeroper, Mobile Opera (AL), and UCLA. Recipient of Distinguished Performance Award from UCLA. Faculty vocal coach at UC Santa Barbara, Portland State University, Bel Canto Institute (Italy), American Institute for Musical Studies (Austria), and International Vocal Institute (Croatia). Has conducted opera and musical theater at Natchez Opera Festival, Little Opera Theatre of New York, Brooklyn Repertory Opera, and Trinity Church (Wall Street). Music director of West Side Opera since 1989. Accompanied master classes with Anna Moffo, Martina Arroyo, Lynn Harrell, and Tito Capobianco, among others. Adjudicator for Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions. Faculty, Mannes College the New School for Music, since 2005.
