Whether you are a beginner interested in gaining new skills, a lover of music looking for a creative outlet, or a seasoned musician seeking to advance your career, Mannes NEXT at the Mannes School of Music offers you a wide variety of opportunities in music.

Mannes NEXT courses and ensembles are open to students, community members, and learners of all musical backgrounds and levels of experience. You can take continuing education courses on a noncredit basis or for general or transfer credit (to be applied to a future degree or certificate program). New School continuing education students have access to the Performing Arts Library and to many free concerts and events held on campus.

Beginning in fall 2015, Continuing Education courses and ensembles meet in the late afternoon and evening at Arnhold Hall, 55 West 13th Street. Most courses meet for one hour each week for a 15-week fall or spring term (please note that several courses meet for two hours per week). See the course catalog for a complete listing of class schedules and meeting locations. Classes are taught by renowned Mannes faculty members at the top of their fields.
