Peter Taback, Vice President for Communications and External Affairs
Peter began serving as Vice President for Communications and External Affairs in 2012, providing counsel on the university’s overall marketing and communications strategy, promoting student and faculty accomplishments to media, and collaborating with the CEA team on creative elements that raise awareness of The New School’s unique position in higher education. He came to The New School in 2009 after serving as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. He has worked at NYU and CUNY where he served as speechwriter to two chancellors. He holds a Ph.D. in English from the CUNY Graduate Center and has taught English at City College and NYU. He earned his B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania.
