Michelle Relyea became vice president for Student Success in November 2013. In this position, she oversees the creation of a dynamic and seamlessly connected program of support services for students throughout their time at the university, from enrollment through graduation, and as they pursue postgraduation goals. Before coming to The New School, Michelle worked for Apollo Education Group, where she initiated the first-ever career coaching program while serving as a retention strategist and managing a redesign of Apollo’s online student resources. She also served as dean of student development and retention at Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus. Michelle has an MS in Education from Hunter College CUNY and a BA from Rutgers University.
