Technology Tutoring for Faculty

New School faculty can sign up for Tech Shops—free individualized tutoring sessions on a variety of computer programs used in teaching, including Canvas, the learning management system (LMS) that will be replacing Blackboard in spring 2014. Several highly qualified students are working with the Provost's Office to provide tutoring sessions, which are available by appointment. Sessions can take place in a computer lab or in faculty offices (provided the office computers have the necessary software). Tutors are available to help with a range of computer programs, from Canvas to Adobe applications to Word and PowerPoint and more specialized software.

Tutoring sessions are typically one hour long. Faculty are limited to three hours of tutoring per semester.

Group workshops are also offered. Upcoming workshops will be announced here.

To make an appointment, email facultytechtutoring@newschool.edu and provide a brief description of the kind of computer tutorials you are interested in. Here is a list of examples:
