Every year, the university recognizes a group of faculty members who have been nominated by their students and colleagues as Distinguished University Teachers. These faculty members embody the highest standards for teaching, advancement of scholarship, university citizenship, and community engagement. Above all, they demonstrate a passion for teaching and a remarkable capacity to impart knowledge and inspire critical engagement with ideas and with the world.

The nomination process for the 2012 Distinguished University Teaching Awards is now closed. The deadline for nominations was February 17, 2012, and the winners will be announced at the start of the next academic year.
