Lisa Rubin, Assistant Professor of Psychology, The New School for Social Research
Lisa Rubin, NSPE and NSSR, Assistant Professor of Psychology. Matters of social justice are central to my personal and professional commitments. I identify as a feminist psychologist, and contributions of social justice movements (feminist, queer, disability, critical race...) are woven into the fabric of my teaching, research, and mentoring. Like so many others, I was drawn to the New School because of its history and commitment to progressive thinking. Nonetheless, I think we need to be vigilant and reflexive, and make sure we do more than identify with those values in name, but continue to actively work to ensure they are visible, ever-present, and infused in the practices, polices, and design of our university.
