Tsuya Hohri Yee, Director of Academic Support, Dean’s Office, New School for Social Research (NSSR). I have an MA in Politics from NSSR and I am currently studying Fine Arts at Parsons. I am a Native New Yorker from the Lower East Side, a third generation Chinese American, and a fourth generation Japanese American. My graduate research focused on voting among immigrant communities in Chinatown and the use of public space for political protest. New York based organization affiliations include: New York Day of Remembrance Committee which organizes programs around the WWII incarceration of Japanese Americans to promote community building, inter-generational healing and communication, education and solidarity on issues of racism, war, detention, citizenship; CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities; and Volunteers in Asia (China Program).
