The Artist in Residence at Eugene Lang College represents a special opportunity for Lang Dance students to work with a distinguished artist from the dance world whose work is multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary in nature. The artist could cross with theater, music, and/or the visual arts, working with elements such as text, poetry, film, media, photography, etc. The artist’s work reflects the values we emphasize in the arts at Lang - new forms of collaboration, experimentation, and a commitment to artistic excellence.

luciana achugar is a Brooklyn based choreographer from Uruguay. She moved to NY in 1995 after graduating from CalArts. From 1999 to 2003, she worked collaboratively with Levi Gonzalez.
