Sarah Lookofsky

Sarah Lookofsky is a Danish art historian, curator and critic who lives in New York. She is the Instructor for Curatorial Studies at the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program and serves as the Arts Editor for DIS Magazine. Her curatorial work and writing strive to situate artistic practices within the social and political contexts within which they are both produced and perceived. Lookofsky obtained her Ph.D. in Art History, Theory and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego and has curated several exhibitions for, among other venues, apexart (2007) and Art in General (2009) and Stacion Center for Contemporary Art, Pristina, Kosovo (2013).
