I find teaching mathematics a great joy and believe that it is important for all people to be mathematically literate. I am interested in broadening students’ understanding of math by exposing them to new concepts and providing students with the opportunity to strengthen their backgrounds. My research interests include gender equity, the impact that confidence and stereotypes have on students’ decision to persist in the field of mathematics, using both qualitative and quantitative methods to represent data, doctoral attrition, career aspirations and the career transitions of doctoral mathematics students.
