Lang Exchange Programs

John Cabot University (Rome, Italy)

Since 2010, students from Eugene Lang College and John Cabot University have taken advantage of each other’s educational programs. The program is available for an academic semester or year. Students pay tuition and fees to their home institution; all financial aid grants and loans are applied toward these costs. Students are responsible for their room and board charges, but are eligible for on-campus housing at The New School. JCU students interested in this program must have at least sophomore standing (30 credits or more) and have earned at least 15 credits at JCU. They must have completed English Composition III (EN110) with a grade of B or higher, and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. Students may register in 12-17 credits per semester at The New School.

University of Amsterdam/Amsterdam University College (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Students from Eugene Lang College and the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA) take advantage of each other’s educational programs through a partnership launched in 1989. The exchange program is available for an academic semester or year. UvA students may take courses at Lang College, and with permission, at some graduate divisions of The New School. Students pay tuition and fees to their home institution and receive a STUNT scholarship to cover partial costs for airfare. Students are responsible for their room and board charges, but are eligible for on-campus housing at The New School. UvA students interested in this program must be enrolled full-time at UvA, and must have a transcript showing completion of at least 120 ECTS. The preferred grade point average is 7, though students with lower GPAs will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students may register in 12-19 credits per semester at The New School.

American University of Paris (Paris, France)

New York and Paris are two of the world’s great international cities, with a long history of intellectual and cultural exchange. Since 2010, Eugene Lang College and the American University of Paris (AUP) have been partners engaged in student exchange, faculty exchange, joint curriculum development, and shared student activities such as literary journals. The student exchange program is available for an academic semester or year. Students pay tuition and fees to their home institution; all financial aid grants and loans are applied toward these costs. Students are responsible for their room and board charges, but are eligible for on-campus housing at The New School. AUP students interested in this program must have at least sophomore standing and a 3.0 minimum GPA. Students may register in 12-19 credits per semester at The New School.

King's College London (London, England)

Sarah Lawrence College (Bronxville, NY)

In 1996, Eugene Lang College inaugurated an exchange program with Sarah Lawrence College, a small liberal arts college which shares many values and educational approaches with Lang. This program enables students from both colleges to study on one another's campus-based as well as some international programs for an academic semester or year. Qualified students from Sarah Lawrence College may also participate in the Lang College exchange program with the University of Amsterdam. Students pay tuition and fees to their home institution; all financial aid grants and loans are applied to these costs. Students are responsible for their room and board charges, but are eligible for on-campus housing at Lang. Students interested in this program must have a strong academic record and junior class standing, and must have less than the 60 maximum transfer credits allowed by Sarah Lawrence College. Students may register in 12-19 credits per semester at The New School.

Spelman students interested in this program must have a strong academic record and junior standing. Students may register in 12-19 credits per semester at The New School.
